Know how our virtual power plant benefits Toshiba

Toshiba Corporation acquired a majority share of CyberGrid, an Austrian provider of intelligent and innovative software solutions for the energy market. The acquisition aims to enhance TOSHIBA Group's smart community business in Europe.

Toshiba acquired a 76% interest of the company as a key strategy for the coming years, thus benefiting from CyberGrid's expertise in virtual power plants and grid management solutions.

CyberGrid's cutting-edge software solution optimizes and monetizes energy assets from different customers such as utilities, aggregators, system operators, energy communities, or any other market participant who aims to unlock flexibility and create new revenue streams.

It offers a significantly lower cost alternative than conventional peaking power plants, allowing utilities and other industry customers to deploy new capacity within months without any major infrastructure investments.
