Since July 2023, FlexRegler has been actively trading and providing Automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve (aFRR) and Manual Frequency Restoration Reserve (mFRR) flexibility to the Austrian Power Grid, the country’s Transmission System Operator (TSO). Fully integrated into the MARI and PICASSO cooperation, FlexRegler supports major transformations in Austria’s ancillary service markets, aligning them with European initiatives.

It manages the trading Application Programming Interface (API), facilitates Automot for mFRR activation and real-time data exchange, and oversees communication and control of third-party assets, ensuring efficient coordination across the energy sector. At its core, the software features a powerful autotrader designed for balancing services, including FCR, aFRR, and mFRR.
