EAA & CyberGrid cooperation for intraday trading in Germany
October 28, 2026

CyberGrid and ENERGIEALLIANZ Austria (EAA) are deepening their collaboration to unlock additional market value for flexible energy assets. As an established provider of flexibility trading and asset optimization services, CyberGrid continuously seeks additional routes to market that create more opportunities for asset owners and operators. Through the cooperation with EAA, CyberGrid gains access to another pathway for participating in the German intraday market, complementing existing trading and optimization services.

This enhanced market access supports a broad range of flexible assets, including battery energy storage systems, renewable generation assets, and co-located storage projects. By widening the available commercialization options, asset operators can benefit from additional optimization opportunities while maintaining seamless participation across multiple electricity markets.

The partnership extends beyond the German market. In Austria, both companies work together to deliver advanced flexibility marketing solutions for batteries and renewable energy assets to capture value across multiple energy markets through a one-stop shop solution.

EAA-INTRADAY DIREKT

EAA-INTRADAY DIREKT provides a streamlined and cost-efficient route to intraday electricity trading, enabling market participants to respond quickly to changing market conditions and trading opportunities. Through the integration with PowerBot, market access is available via an established third-party trading solution.

The service supports both standard algorithms such as position opening and closing as well as tailored algorithms, giving participants the flexibility to choose the approach that best fits their operational and commercial objectives.

In addition, customers benefit from a comprehensive service package that combines risk management, compliance, and reporting within a single framework. Market participation can be achieved without the need for separate exchange membership or dedicated trading infrastructure, helping to reduce operational complexity and costs. Furthermore, balancing group membership remains optional, as EAA can also provide balancing group service arrangements when required. In addition, EAA and NATURKRAFT act as cooperation partners and suppliers.

Alexander Kofink, CEO of CyberGrid, highlighted: "With EAA INTRADAY DIRECT, we strengthen our market connection and expand our opportunities in intraday trading. We especially appreciate the straightforward access to intraday trading, the professional handling, and the cooperative partnership with ENERGIEALLIANZ Austria."

EAA-Flex Battery: cross-market revenue streams for BESS and co-located RES

In Austria, EAA uses the CyberNoc platform, developed by CyberGrid, as the aggregation and flexibility-management tool behind the EAA-Flex Battery offering. This enables batteries, renewable generators and co-located photovoltaic-plus-storage systems to be marketed across day-ahead, intraday and balancing markets.

EAA offers battery owners access to several markets and uses CyberGrid’s platform and operational capabilities to aggregate, optimize, and control the relevant assets. Eligible storage systems must generally have at least 1 MW of power. CyberGrid provides the technology and optimization through CyberNoc, ENERGIEALLIANZ Austria supplies the balancing group infrastructure and market access, while NKG Vertrieb GmbH supports the green-energy supply and direct marketing framework.
